...As the seasons past...
...I was fashioned...
...stylized with silver...
...weathered by the wind...
...washed by the rain...
...slowly I began to loosen my grip...
...the leaves were my friends...
...each year they fell, leaving me behind...
...this time I let go...
...clasping their wings as they cushioned my fall...

...Time comes around full circle...
...when we least expect it...
...suddenly clicking into place...
...like bricks in a wall...
...which wall up the past...
...marked by the lengthening shadows...
...of small stones which once were mountains...
...adorned by the thorns of a rose branch...
...linger too long...
...and then you cannot escape...
...rutted in the past you will be...
...step instead to the new arc...
...knowing that a new beginning...
...has come at another beginnings end...
